Summary: PT 456 and PT 461 investigated a reported radar target at 0045; it proved false at 0107. A fouled screw interrupted operations before the boats resumed their Chausey and Granville duties.

Editorial note: Adjacent blockade context. The source contains a boat-number inconsistency in the screw-clearing sentence; it is not silently resolved.
