8 September 1944 US Navy PT 505 returns with a leak during island patrol

PT 500, PT 505 and PT 508 departed at 2030 on 8 September. Heavy seas caused a leak aboard PT 505 at 2100, forcing her back to Cherbourg at 2230. PT 500 and PT 508 took station at 115°, six miles from Sark Light. [J screenshot 2]
