8 October 1943 Operations daily report

Transport of reinforced Regiment 535 complete. Fortress Engineer Staff 19, Section Groups I/14 and II/14 and Fortress Engineer Battalion 19 transported from islands. 2/Construction Engineer 158 on march to Valognes. Construction troops remaining: Guernsey—Battalion 158 HQ, 4th Company and light column; Jersey—3rd Company; Alderney—1st Company. Only 2/583 remains deployed on Sark. Further divisional reports: no special events. Distribution: commanding general, chief of staff, quartermaster, intelligence, artillery commander and operations.
