Diary Entry
8 November 1944 Minquiers observation and Guernsey to Jersey convoy
Naval situation: Naval Commander, Channel Islands, reports larger ships now visit Granville. On 2 November the Minquiers observation post first saw a tanker of 3,000 (?) gross registered tons south of Îles Chausey, course 260 degrees. This contradicts the recent Cherbourg agent report that Granville was not restored and could receive only smaller craft.
Guernsey–Jersey supply convoy completed with two lighters, one artillery carrier and two naval fishing cutters, carrying Commander, Channel Islands.
