On night 8/9 July all five boats to check AT mines between Guernsey and Alderney. Planned departure 20:30; Ida 12 21:00, Ida 14 23:00, Ida 15 midnight, Ida 14 01:00, Ida 12 03:00, then enter Guernsey at daylight, observing high-water time; report results. 20:30: M 4615, M 4616, M 4618, M 4610 and V 206 sailed, M 4615 commanding. 21:15, three nautical miles south of Ida 13: streamed gear in double line abreast, spacing 200 m. 21:45: Ida 13. 23:05: Ida 14. 23:50: Ida 15. 24:00: reversed course; W force 3, sea 2, good visibility.
