Continuation: rescue of V 228, 7 November 1944
16:07–16:32
V 228 called for assistance. It was told that help was on the way, though delayed by M 412’s defect; M 452 was departing. If the current permitted, V 228 was to weigh anchor and drift clear. A north-westerly current of five knots was expected to carry it clear of the rocks against the wind.
