6 October 1944 S 112 minelaying proposal

I agree to the naval commander’s proposal that, during the next new-moon period, S 112 lay the three remaining LMF mines to mine the St Malo convoy route in the Chenal de la Petite Porte. It is regrettable that no more mines are available on the islands. Suitable areas for mining and appropriate minelayers are available. For example, mining the observation positions regularly occupied by the enemy would be desirable, with prospects of success against destroyers.
