02:00. The Chief of Staff of LXXXIV Army Corps reports to the Chief of Staff of Seventh Army Headquarters:
Further airborne landings in the 716th Infantry Division sector. The affected area on the east coast of the Cotentin appears to extend from Saint-Marcouf to Montebourg. Fighting is taking place at Le Ham. Very strong formations are approaching east of Cherbourg and farther west in the Jersey sea area. Nothing is yet known about airborne landings on the north and west coasts of the Cotentin. Two main concentrations can be identified: the 716th Infantry Division sector and the east coast of the Cotentin, extending across the area of the 91st Airlanding Division.
