6 December 1942 Channel Islands excluded from mainland strength comparison

Editorial note: This comparison expressly excludes the Channel Islands. It must not be read as a reduction in the island garrison. The report heading and date are on PDF page 53.

The total garrison of the coast in Normandy, excluding the Channel Islands, has fallen from 19 to 16 battalions, and from five divisional artillery battalions to three.
