6 August 1943 Channel Islands Sea Defence diary

Weather: wind 270°, 9 m/sec. Nos. 2 and 3 guns of Army Coastal Battery 469, Jersey, were not operational. A cast-iron wheel on the slide of No. 2 gun had broken. At No. 3 gun, the barrel recoiled 50 cm too little.
