5 October 1942 Army Group discusses Sark responsibility and island reorganisation

Date note: Conference on 5 October, memorandum dated 6 October. Disciplinary discussion relates to the raid already recorded, not another incident.

8. Raid on Sark: Army Group considers severe action against the apparently culpable island commandant necessary. It also calls for appropriate measures to ensure rapid reporting.

For the intended reorganisation of 319th Infantry Division, Army High Command will be asked to send an officer who can be briefed on local conditions on the spot.
