Total crews: thirty-eight NCOs and 273 men. Remainder: twenty NCOs and nine men.
This remainder must provide platoon leaders, section leaders, company and platoon headquarters personnel, telephonists, runners and riflemen.
Reasons: 1) The regiment has received and will receive no replacements. 2) The regiment has no thirteenth or fourteenth company, each rifle company has only one light mortar, and the machine-gun companies lack the six heavy mortars. 3) The regiment has received fixed-position weapons for a thirteenth and fourteenth company, but not the men to crew them. 4) Each rifle company has received the missing second and third light mortars, but no men. 5) The regiment has received six heavy mortars as fixed-position weapons for each machine-gun company, without men. 6) Five heavy machine guns 08 are currently assigned to the battalion, again without men.
