5 July 1943 Group C sweeps and Jersey convoy

5 July, 02:15: secured at berth 4, Saint Peter Port. 22:00: Harbour Commandant ordered immediate readiness for sea, await further convoy orders. Wireless switched on immediately and missing messages obtained from 7th Patrol Flotilla wireless boat. At midnight telephoned Harbour Commandant about sailing order; told to wait for radio order.
