Seventh Army, Ia/Army Engineer Commander No. 831/42, secret, 4 August 1942. Courses at Army Engineer School Angers were ordered for members of fortress engineer staffs and construction battalions. Subjects were heavy temporary bridging and ferries, repair of damaged structures, obstacles and demolitions, mine employment and rapid anti-tank obstacles.

Course dates: 17–29 August, 31 August–12 September and 14–26 September 1942. Fortress Engineer Commander XIV was to provide one officer for the bridging subject and one NCO for each of the three specialist subjects to supplement the instructional staff. This is an allocation order, not confirmation that particular island personnel attended.
