Diary Entry
Continuation: berthing memorandum; Cherbourg harbour assessment
Transfers of escort vessels to their principal ports are to be combined with convoy voyages, in view of the fuel situation. The serviceable large fishing steamers are therefore to be moved during the convoy planned for early November if the weather is adverse for convoy protection, or immediately after it if the weather is favourable. The two artillery ferries are to return to St Helier with the return convoy following the November St Helier–Jersey convoy [wording as in original].
