Subject Supply of the island of Jersey by air
To LXXXIV Army Corps headquarters
Following examination by Airfield Headquarters A 11/XII of the sites proposed for dropping supplies and landing transport gliders, the following is communicated:
1. The airfield in the southwestern part of the island is suitable without restriction for landing transport gliders and dropping supplies, even in a larger-scale operation. Removal of the supplies can likewise be carried out without difficulty.
2. The site reconnoitred in the east of the island near Grande Chemins is also suitable for landing transport gliders and dropping supplies, but only on a substantially smaller scale.
3. The proposed glider site in the centre of the island near Pierre des Baisieres is unsuitable. It can be considered only as a supply-dropping area.
