July 1943 Island air activity mine warnings and defence planning

July began with frequent enemy air activity over the Channel Islands and mainland. Suspected minefields temporarily closed shipping routes. The corps continued artillery planning, medical arrangements for the islands and exercises involving reserves and local-defence formations.
