Naval High Command West signalled by radio telegram FT 0247/30: because of the fuel shortage at Lorient and St Nazaire, after S 112’s overhaul at Lorient the boat is intended to be transferred to La Rochelle. There may be opportunities there for operations against enemy forces. Further task: establish the sea link La Rochelle–St Nazaire and strengthen the La Rochelle–Gironde link.
