30 April 1943 Part 9 Naval command organisation
Naval organisation in the western theatre. Naval Group West is based at Paris under Admiral Krancke. The Channel Coast command is under Rear Admiral Rieve; the Channel Islands naval command on Guernsey is under Captain Steinbach. The island branch includes the harbour posts at St Peter Port and St Helier. Seekommandant = naval coastal commander; Hafenkommandant = harbour commander.
