Night 3/4 October. Wind W–SW2–3, visibility 12–15 nautical miles, sea 1–2. Increased fighter-bomber activity in sea area north of Channel Islands and north to east of Cotentin. Eight locating signals for navigational assistance; one concerning enemy air target.
