Ia evening report

I Report to Commander in Chief West

1. Enemy situation

On 2 March, inward and passage flights by some aircraft in the area Orne estuary–Guernsey–Jersey–Avranches–St-Malo.

At about 15:00, approximately 30 aircraft, and at about 21:00 approximately 70 aircraft, passed over the Orne estuary.

During the night of 2–3 March, individual aircraft circled over the Villedieu–Avranches–Dinan area. Mixed-load containers were presumably dropped in the Avranches area. Search operations have so far produced no result.

On 3 March, coastal inward and passage flights by individual aircraft and smaller formations in the Orne estuary area.

2. The last train of the 3rd Parachute Division, out of a total of 15 trains, has arrived.

3. The island Sénèque [source spelling appears Senéquet], in the 709th Infantry Division sector, was inspected. No special findings.
