29 November 1942 Guernsey Harbour Commandant report
Schokland became separated from the Vp 209/210 convoy near Jersey and entered harbour five hours later, at 1010. At 0915, Matrose II Tarwieds died by suicide by shooting himself aboard the water-supply vessel Elfriede.
