Radio message of 28 October 1944: by agreement with Commander-in-Chief West, the tactical and supply subordination of the Channel Islands and the Fortress Commander St Nazaire to the Commanding General, XXV Army Corps, and of the Fortress Commander Gironde North to the Admiral Commanding the Atlantic Coast, was cancelled. Existing service-command relationships were unaffected.
