28 October 1942 Jersey Harbour Commandant diary

St Helier: 0300: La Corbière off. 0430: Sorel off. 1932: La Corbière on. 2034: Harbour light on. 2030: Tug B 122 S, rammed by La France, enters St Brelade’s Bay in a sinking condition and beaches itself. Crew rescued unhurt. The barges in tow drift away and are picked up by Gueppe. All operations, directed by Lieutenant Captain Hartmann, completed about 0115. 2205: Sorel on.
