28 January 1944 Command authority in the combat zone
Order to the corps headquarters: with immediate effect, unrestricted command authority in the combat zones is to be transferred to the commanding generals. On the mainland, the coastal battle area is regarded as the combat zone; within the area of the 319th Infantry Division, the combat zone comprises all the Channel Islands.
