Legend: red denotes Army reserve; black denotes army-group reserve. The surviving scan is monochrome, so original colour distinctions cannot be reliably recovered.

The Channel Islands are shown with 319th Division headquarters at Guernsey and Jersey and Sark labelled. Mainland dispositions include the 320th Division in the Cotentin, 716th Division around Caen, 257th Division in western Brittany, 709th Division on Brittany’s north coast, 17th Division around Quimperlé, 182nd near Auray, and 333rd around the Loire approaches. Other markings include the 165th at Cherbourg, 161st near Lamballe, departing 335th around Châteaulin, 346th in the Coëtquidan area, 6th Panzer Division near Rennes, “Das Reich” around Saint-Lô, II/202 near Périers, Armoured Artillery Regiment 1 at Mayenne, and 588 at Laval. Seventh Army headquarters is at Le Mans. The flag near Nogent-le-Rotrou has an indistinct number and is not securely identified here.

“Korück” denotes the army rear-area command; the dotted boundary is labelled boundary of the Military Commander’s security area.

Lower marginal officer lists: 161st Division — Lieutenant-General Recke, commander; Major (General Staff) Hölz, Ia; Captain (General Staff) Siebert, Ib. 165th Division — Lieutenant-General Freiherr von Schacky, commander; reserve Captain Behringer, Ia; reserve Captain Löffler, Ib. 346th Division — Major-General Diestel, commander; Major (General Staff) Franck, Ia; reserve Captain Wolters, Ib. Some handwritten surname letters are indistinct.
