27 April 1943 Training directives and close range anti tank instruction Annex 135

Corps Headquarters, secret, to the 319th, 709th, 716th and 389th Divisions. The enclosed Army High Command directive compiles training instructions. For artillery employment in the battle for the coast, the corps orders of 6 August 1942 and 27 April 1943 apply.

The 716th Division reviews the arrangements ordered under corps file 1219/42 and reports changes with a 1:100,000 map. The 709th Division reports the measures agreed with the 346th Division.

Divisions must continually maintain and develop the close-range anti-tank skills acquired on the relevant courses. Captured tanks cannot be expected to be available; construct Churchill mock-ups using the chart distributed on 21 April. I/Panzer Regiment 100 reconnoitres ground on which tanks can drive over trainees in accordance with Training Directive 3, reporting by 5 May. The objective is to train every soldier in close-range anti-tank combat.
