26 February 1945 Supply flight to Guernsey
Air warfare
During lively enemy activity last night, with Mosquito attacks on Berlin, Erfurt and Mainz and a repetition of the Boomerang attack on Bremen, two of our aircraft carried out supply flights to Guernsey and La Rochelle.
Translator’s note: The report refers to the night of 25–26 February. Two aircraft are reported for the two destinations collectively; the passage does not specify the allocation between them. “Boomerang” is retained as the diary’s term for the attack method.
