24 October: ordered M 4621/M 4627 and Bordeaux to Saint-Malo. 18:45: cast off. 19:05: took over convoy in outer roads, M 4621 leading. Very light breeze from S to W, medium to heavy cloud, sea 1, visibility 10–15 nautical miles.
