Diary Entry
24 June 1944 Part 5 Naval engagements near the islands and Saint Malo
The situation in Brittany showed no changes compared with the previous day. Fifty kilometres north of Saint-Malo and in the Channel Islands area, further naval engagements took place between one of our convoys and our S-boats, and enemy motor torpedo boats. Enemy aerial reconnaissance and air attacks concentrated on the Saint-Malo area and Goulven Bay.
Apart from numerous incoming and transit flights, probably to supply the resistance fighters [“terrorists” in the German text], no special events were recorded in the remainder of the Army area.
