23 October, 02:00: four boats cast off to resume task. 03:18: S 3–4, sea 2–3, moderate swell, rain, moderate to poor visibility; near Ida 5 convoy still not assembled because of visibility. Harbour commandant ordered return. M 4601/M 4603 assumed anti-aircraft protection of Midsland in Saint Aubin's Bay. 04:30: M 4600/M 4606 secured harbour. Signed Ertel.
