23 October 1942 Territorial powers of the island division during combat
When the combat territorial arrangement takes effect, all Military Commander France’s powers in the coastal combat zone pass to commanders of 319, 320 and 716 Divisions within their sectors. Divisions must identify local military-administration offices, formations and facilities, their present tasks and tasks to continue or change during combat, keeping lists. By 8 November they must report military sites outside the coastal zone needing guards. Local garrison commanders are responsible for security at rear quarters and for emergency combat lists. Divisions always direct anti-parachutist action in the coastal zone; Military Administrative District A directs it in the rear security area, receiving divisional anti-parachutist detachments on request where the situation allows. Existing coastal combat-zone boundaries remain as mapped.
