At 49 degrees 4.9 minutes north, 2 degrees 0.6 minutes west: wind east, force 1–2; light cloud; good visibility. A violent shock occurred in the boat after contact with a floating object. The engines ran irregularly and struck. I assumed that the propellers were damaged. Continued at 30 knots. The boat made some water in Compartment 1.
