Diary Entry
Item 16 — S 112 War Diary continued
01:22
Second mine laid at the position specified under paragraph 2(a). Dropping interval 55 seconds; speed 12 knots.
As the enemy did nothing despite the short distance from land, it is assumed that the operation was carried out unobserved. After laying the mines I reversed course and retained silent-running speed until 01:48. No radar detections were observed on the return passage. At 01:[illegible], several ‘Anton-Anton’ calls were heard from the direction of Pointe du Roc. From 01:48, cruising speed, 34 knots.
