10/739 moved to Vasteville, 12 km southwest of Cherbourg. Operational Formation 390 arrived: headquarters at Château Montvascon, 3 km southeast of Mesnil-au-Val; 1st and 2nd Companies at Mesnil-au-Val, 9 km southeast of Cherbourg. Saint-Marcouf island inspected without adverse findings. The second exchange transport of eight NCOs and 242 men was sent away from 319th Division. Distribution: commanding general, chief of staff, quartermaster, intelligence, Artillery Commander 118 and operations section.
