Alderney sighted in grid square B.F. 3516 one escort destroyer, course north. In grid square B.F. 3552 one escort destroyer and one vessel, course north. The vessel was broad-beamed, with a clipper bow, about 3,000–4,000 GRT; two tower-like superstructures and one funnel stood between two masts.
