Continuation: 21 December 1944 — incident at the Minquiers

Order to Oberleutnant Karl: ‘As soon as ready, sail with two boats to relieve the Minquiers. If you encounter inferior forces, attack and destroy them and relieve the island. If you encounter forces of equal strength, engage according to the situation and relieve the island. If you encounter superior forces, withdraw.’
