2 November 1942 Jersey Harbour Commandant diary

St Helier: 0130: Sorel off; La Corbière on. 0230: Harbour light on. 0500: La Corbière off. 0630: Harbour light off. About 2400 convoy 3447 had contact with the enemy. After arrival in the roadstead, the harbour medical officer, Oberassistenzarzt Dr Hartmann, took charge of the wounded and transferred one dead and four wounded to the military hospital. 1800: Harbour light on. 2015: Harbour light off. 2200: La Corbière on.
