Weather: wind from 360°, 9 m/s.

No special events. Construction, M.A.A. 604: Battery Mirus — no substantial changes. Battery Strassburg — the temporary control post’s interior will be completely finished by the end of the first January week; the post could already be brought into use fourteen days ago. The upper storey of the main control post is being shuttered and reinforcement work has begun. Pouring can probably begin in mid-January.

Battery Steinbruch — shuttering of the main control post’s second storey progresses more slowly than expected. Pouring is to begin in mid-January. Gun 4’s crew bunker has now been poured; the base slab for gun 1’s crew bunker is being concreted; excavation for gun 2’s continues.

M.A.A. 605, Battery West, Organisation Todt: preparations for pouring the control post. Installation of iron doors and hoists in turrets 1–4 temporarily suspended. Work on the machinery bunker and ammunition replenishment bunker I suspended. Bunker II: further stripping of shuttering. Accommodation bunker 2: reinforcement continues; bunker 4: further excavation under the new plan. Battery’s own work: common rooms and all-round defence works continue.
