The war diaries of the Sea Commanders Pas-de-Calais, Seine–Somme, Normandy and Channel Islands for 16–31 December 1942 are submitted in duplicate. Routing instructions call for two copies of each diary to accompany the letter; further internal references include G 89, G 97 and G 165, and filing with the relevant war diary. Some abbreviated routing marks are not securely read.
