18 November 1942 Guernsey Harbour Commandant report
Harbour Protection Group account: About 2130, FK 01 and FK 02 were fired on by German naval forces in the sea area between Jersey and Sark. Both boats were damaged. FK 01 suffered no crew casualties. FK 02 had three dead and one seriously wounded, and additionally lost four Army personnel: Colonel Christiani, Major Bank, Oberfeldveterinär Fuerst and Oberschütze Wackes. Otherwise no special incidents. Harbour-protection boats served on patrol and courier duties. [The Harbour Commandant paragraph instead dates the firing to 19 November at 2135 and describes the firing vessels as torpedo boats. The two source accounts conflict in date; both are retained. The source does not identify enemy E-boats.]
