The Chief Quartermaster orders the quartermaster of LXXIV Army Corps, Lieutenant-Colonel Jung: immediately cancel the requisitioning carried out by the Fortress Engineer Staff at St-Malo. Release the vehicles for Army headquarters immediately. Remedial action is promised. The vehicles are to receive certificates from the field command headquarters.
Colonel of the General Staff John arrives on behalf of the General Quartermaster to acquaint himself with the supply situation in Normandy.
Qu 1 informs the quartermaster of XXV Army Corps that submarine transport will operate from St-Nazaire to Cherbourg fortress. XXV Army Corps headquarters must transfer 80 tonnes of ammunition from Depot Martin to St-Nazaire by 12:00 on 19 June for loading into motor torpedo boats.
Chief Quartermaster West had assured the arrival of motor torpedo boats for sea transport at St-Malo by the morning of 18 June. Asked where the boats are, Chief Quartermaster West reports that Admiral Gruber has promised their arrival at 18:00. Eighty tonnes of cargo will be ready by then. Major Jahns is to supervise these transport matters at St-Malo.
Consultation between Qu 1 and Qu 1 of Chief Quartermaster West establishes:
1. Naval Group West has been formally informed that 80 tonnes will be ready for loading at St-Malo at 18:00.
2. Nothing has yet been prepared for transport from St-Malo to Granville. The Navy raises the matter with Chief Quartermaster West.
3. The second transport to Granville is to be postponed in favour of the Jersey transport.
4. Transport from Bordeaux to Lorient will be carried out.
5. Three rail transports have entered Seventh Army’s area.
Commander Army Supply Troops 575 must send an unloading detachment to assist in transshipping a rail transport at Nantes. Two companies of territorial security troops are taken over by Commander Army Supply Troops 575 for supply work.
Luftwaffe personnel on leave bound for Jersey must report to 13th Flak Division at Laval.
