15 August 1944 US Navy Godfrey submits the convoy action report
Lieutenant William C. Godfrey submitted his CONFIDENTIAL action report to Commander, MTB Squadron Thirty Four. The squadron commander forwarded it to Commander in Chief, United States Fleet, via Commander, PT Squadrons, Eleventh Amphibious Force, and Commander, Eleventh Amphibious Force. File reference FC8-34/A12-1/A16-3; the report was enclosure (A). The transmittal signature appears as H. J. Sherertz, Lieutenant; the clearer signature block in set A helps identify the name.
