At Buoy 5, Brisants du Sud. Towards Cap Fréhel I observed several clouds of smoke, apparently from vessels proceeding slowly towards the entrance to St Malo and stopping at intervals. Weather: wind west, force 3; sea state 3; overcast with rain showers; visibility 8 nautical miles.
