13 October 1942 Combat assessment records horse transfers and shortages in 319th Division

Seventh Army’s scheduled combat-value report adds the transfer of 2,100 horses to inadequate formation training as a limitation affecting 319th Division. It remains rated fully suitable for coastal defence; operations under question 2 are limited to reinforced battalions. The questions themselves are not reproduced.

After cadre transfers, personnel shortages in 319th Division are nineteen officers, 198 NCOs and 686 men.
