13 August 1942 Part 5

13 August 1942 Island mine holdings and coastal defence return

Date note: Date taken from the dated return or its header sheet. Local scan filenames are used as references; the photographed counter numbers differ.

Editorial note: Selected island-related text and translated chart keys; original symbols and numerical tables are retained in the images. Uncertain small annotations are not silently expanded.

The 319th Infantry Division section lists Alderney, Guernsey, Sark and Jersey. The return distinguishes T-mines (anti-tank mines) and S-mines (anti-personnel mines), divisional stocks, troop equipment, coastal defence holdings and totals. Additional columns concern improvised or captured mines and, where printed, requirements and outstanding deliveries.

These are stock and allocation categories; the whole table must not be read as a single total of mines laid. Original figures and column positions are retained in the embedded return.
