I. Report to Commander in Chief West

1. Enemy situation. On 12 April, individual reconnaissance aircraft and small formations over northern and western Brittany. On 13 April, 38 Marauders on a coastal flight between the Orne and Vire estuaries. At 09:20 a Marauder crashed southwest of Valognes following anti-aircraft fire. Of six crew members, four captured and two at large.

2. Moved from the 21st Panzer Division to the east coast of Saint-Brieuc Bay: headquarters, Panzergrenadier Regiment 192, with I Battalion of that regiment and 4th Battery, Assault-Gun Battalion 200, and I Battalion, Panzer Artillery Regiment 155. Regimental command post in Lamballe; command post of I/Panzergrenadier Regiment 192 at Yffiniac; command post of I/Panzer Artillery Regiment 155 at Pléneuf.

3. The following were inspected: the unoccupied islands lying off the Channel Islands; and the islands Béniguet, Quéménès, Molène, Lédénès, Lytiry, Balanec and Triélen, lying off Coastal Defence Sector B. No special findings.
