I Report to Commander in Chief West

1. Enemy situation

Night of 11–12 February: about 15 aircraft over the sea area Vannes–Loire estuary. Minelaying probable.

Inward and return flights by about 60 aircraft between the Vire and Orne estuaries, and numerous further aircraft in several waves over the area of LXXIV Army Corps.

2. Light Observation Battalion 33 transported away.

3. The islands Hoedic and Houat, coastal-defence sector C2, and the islands off Guernsey were inspected as far as the bad weather permitted; no special findings.

4. The following have arrived for the 77th Infantry Division: Medical Company 355; Motor Ambulance Platoon 355; Supply Company 355; headquarters and headquarters company, Grenadier Regiment 336.

1. Headquarters LXXXIV Army Corps

(a) On Sark, 9th Company, Grenadier Regiment 583, was relieved by 11th Company, Grenadier Regiment 582, previously on Jersey.

9th Company, Grenadier Regiment 583, was moved back to III Battalion, Grenadier Regiment 583. III Battalion, Grenadier Regiment 583, is now island reserve.

(b) In the 77th Infantry Division, headquarters and headquarters company, Grenadier Regiment 336, were accommodated at Troarn, 13 km east of Caen; Supply Company 355 at Thury-Harcourt.

(c) 1st Company, Fortress Cadre Battalion LXXXIV, moved to Digosville, southeast of Cherbourg.

2. Headquarters XXV Army Corps

The personnel unit of Self-Propelled Anti-Tank Company 353 was transported away.

3. LXXIV Army Corps and LVIII Reserve Panzer Corps: nothing special to report.
