11 October 1942 Night alert for 11–12 October

With seas subsiding, clearing skies and possible morning mist, conditions again favour landings and air incursions. Alert Level I is ordered from 21:00 for all forces assigned to land defence throughout the army area and islands, excluding emergency combat-list personnel. Corps may cancel next morning when visibility excludes surprise, notifying army.
