a Army medical establishments

Corps headquarters and divisions will continue to be assigned to the same Army medical establishments as before. See Annex 1 for locations.

aa At the commencement of combat, the sick collecting station at Nantes will probably be moved to Châteaubriant.

bb Provision is made for a surgical team at the sick collecting station at St Servan, within the St-Malo fortress area, and, depending on the situation, a surgical team at the hospital for minor cases at Fougères.

cc Depending on the situation, a main dressing station is to be brought forward and established in the area of Special-Purpose Division 136.

b Hospitals belonging to other branches of the armed forces which may also be used if required

Navy: Brest, Lorient, Auray, Nantes, and the main dressing station at St-Nazaire.

Luftwaffe: Cherbourg.

Reich Labour Service: Laval, intended as a military hospital for minor cases.

Organisation Todt: Guernsey, Jersey, St-Malo, Pontivy and Pont-Château.

c Hospital for personnel of the Eastern Battalions

Military Hospital for serious cases 948, Coëtquidan.

d Issue of medicines and dressings

Ready to issue supplies are: the medical depot at Alençon; its branch at Rennes; Army issue points at Le Mans and Fougères; and corps issue points.

e Evacuation of wounded

Necessary movements of wounded are to be made to the nearest medical establishments, primarily in ambulances. Larger evacuations suitable for rail transport are to be notified to the Army Surgeon. Convalescents and hospital patients fit to march are to be sent back to their units without delay.

At the beginning of combat, corps headquarters should detach eight to ten ambulances from the ambulance platoons of their subordinate divisions and from locally assigned ambulances, in order to organise casualty evacuation centrally and firmly.
